The Hume Building Society Homework and Training Centre
Hume Building Society and Upper Murray Regional Library (UMRL) have worked together to develop ‘The Hume Building Society Homework and Training Centre’.
The vehicle services the needs of younger people in disadvantaged areas and mature age students within the community. The project supports Hume Building Society’s focus on providing financial literacy, as the vehicle offers access to online information on how to save and manage money. As a mobile classroom it also is used for school visits and community events.

L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program
Hume Building Society is proud to be a major sponsor of the L2P program, helping support NESAY in managing the program (a VicRoads initiative funded by TAC) on behalf of the Wangaratta, Benalla, Mansfield and Alpine shire councils in the Hume Region.
L2P is a exciting state wide community based volunteer mentor program, designed to provide access to supervised driving practice for young learner drivers from 16 to 20 years of age who are unable to achieve the mandatory 120 hours due to a variety of circumstances such as lack of vehicle access, family support, homelessness or economic disadvantage.

Parklands Albury-Wodonga
Hume Building Society has contributed to the refurbishment of a former spray unit into a fire fighting and watering unit. The unit will allow Parklands to water revegetation areas (including the 1400 plants Hume has planted over the past two years on Gateway Island as part of the Growing Green program) and to assist in fire suppression activities, including further support for local CFA brigades.
Border Trust
Border Trust is the Community Foundation Albury Wodonga Region. It offers a secure and direct way of improving the lives and opportunities of local people by providing funds and organisational support to significant community projects. Hume Building Society provides donations and in kind support to strengthen the Foundation and its activities. The Murray Conservatorium provides musical tuition for people who live in the border region. Hume Building Society provides an annual scholarship to encourage students to study and enhance their musical talents.

Nail Can Hill Run
An annual fun run organised by the Albury Wodonga Orienteering Club, which challenges participants to an 11.3km run / walk along the gruelling Nail Can Hill range in Albury.

Applause Festival
The Albury Central Applause Festival is a Street Theatre and Buskers Festival held in Albury's CBD. In support of the festival and the buskers, Hume Building Society has sponsored the 'Performing Arts' stage positioned at the intersection of Olive and Dean street for the past 6 years.
Wodonga Children's Fair
Each year Hume Building Society sponsors the Wodonga Children's Fair. The fair hosts a range of activities for the whole family including live music and performances, art, animal nursery and educational activites including Hume's Homework and Training Centre and appearances by Hume's Clancy Koala.
