Hume’s School Banking program offers children easy access to a great savings account where they can earn up to 3.00% p.a. interest in a fee free account.
Hume Building Society launched its School Banking Program in mid 2004 to provide school children within the region a financial literacy program. The program is designed to teach children how to develop good saving habits at an early age.
School benefits
- the collection and processing of the deposits is arranged by Hume Building Society.
This method of collection enables valuable school volunteer time and resources to be freed for other purposes.
- for every account opened under the program Hume Building Society will pay $2 to your school.
- for every $100 deposited to accounts opened under the Program (while the student remains a student of the school), Hume Building Society will pay $2.50 to your school.
