Hume Reaches 55,000 Customers

Fifty five thousand local residents now bank with Hume  Customer 55,000 was Paul Andrea from Nugent and Andrea Jewellers in Wagga.  “At the start of the day, we had 8 customers to go and by lunchtime, we had signed up our 55,000th customer.” shared Andrew Saxby, CEO of Hume Building Society. The Wagga team had a busy day with their branches contributing over half the morning’s new customers.  “Wagga has been doing very well so it was great that they were able to sign up customer 55,000.” said Mr Saxby.  “We are very please to have Paul and the team from Nugent and Andrea on board.”  Mr Saxby also shared that January had been an exceptional month for Hume.  “We have seen new customer numbers that are double what we normally see in January so reaching 55,000 customers came up on us rather faster than we expected.” Mr Saxby explained that while the new branches in Wagga helped drive this success, all branches had a strong month.  “We hear that the banks are promising to be different, however people must still be dissatisfied since they are looking at their banking alternatives and recognise that Hume operates at a higher standard.  We have 18 branches and 42 ATMs in the region, our convenience is one reason we are told people switch to us.”
