Hume Building Society continues to support the local community by donating 7 refurbished computers to Blessed Mary MacKillop College in Jindera on Tuesday 8th December. The donation comes after the recent vandalism that occurred at the school and church.
“Hume is pleased to be able to assist Blessed Mary MacKillop College at a time in need, by providing valuable educational equipment for students,” said Andrew Saxby, CEO, Hume Building Society.
The much needed computers are fully operational, and include monitors, keyboards, mice and an office package. This means students can browse the internet and process letters as well as many other capabilities.
Continually developing ways to support the community, this is one of many initiatives that Hume provides schools and community groups throughout the district which includes school banking, financial literacy, sponsorships, donations and in kind support.
Blessed Mary MacKillop College’s Principal, Kevin Tingle was more than happy to receive the good news, with the computers assisting to improve learning facilities for the 27 students in preparation for the 2010 school year.
