Money magazine has awarded Hume Building Society the ‘Cheapest Business Transaction Account’
(non-bank) for Hume’s Business Cash Management Account and second place for its Business
Transaction Account. The 2012 Best of the Best Awards were held in Sydney this week and
presented to Hume by Paul Clitheroe.
These prestigious awards recognise the excellent value Hume provides its customers through award
winning products. CANSTAR and Money magazine evaluate thousands of outstanding products from
banks, building societies and credit unions across Australia and award the best products for consumers.
“To be recognised by one of the major financial magazines as having the best value transaction accounts
in Australia is a tremendous achievement for our organisation” shared Mr. Andrew Saxby, Hume CEO.
Hume was also a finalist in Money magazine’s 2012 Best of the Best awards for ‘Best Everyday Account’
for its All Purpose Account and ‘Cheapest Business Credit Card’ (non-bank).
“We are extremely proud to be a winner and finalist in three categories. Particularly, for our All Purpose
Account which means over 23,000 of our customers have possibly the second best transaction account
in Australia.”
“Our customers continue to benefit from excellent products and according to Roy Morgan research,
Hume’s customer satisfaction is at 90% (12 months to July 2011), well above the major banks who
average in the mid 70s.” said Mr. Saxby.
Hume was awarded 2011 Building Society of the Year by Money magazine in June this year.
